2021 Tears of Joy

The #MyStory Program began as a project that was submitted into the Bridges from Borders Youth Achievement Competition (as part of its Mental Health Ambassador Program). Sunya Afrasiabi and her team, The Advocates, interviewed the co-owners of local restaurant Taste of Siam. They shared their empowering stories, which were turned into life-sized exhibits.

Since then, it has launched into the #MyStory Program, where we highlight stories just as fascinating and empowering as theirs. The excitement at its success was truly a moment for Tears of Joy.
