Aidin Afrasiabi

Aidin Afrasiabi is a Sophomore at Williamsville South High School and co-leader of the #MyStory program with Anmoldeep Kaur. #MyStory is a storytelling program that develops immigrant narratives through a combination of oral history, narrative therapy, and portrait exhibition to promote diversity, inclusion, and equality.


Aidin is involved in many clubs and sports at his school, he is the founder/president of his school’s Mock Trial club, Vice President of Environmental club, and a member of Student Congress’s executive board. He has played volleyball for 3 years, having also obtained the captain position, and he is a part of his school’s varsity tennis team. 


As a first-generation immigrant, Aidin understands the struggle of others being thrown into a new environment, whether it's a new country, state, or school. Aidin hopes to make everyone feel welcome and help them find their place in the community. Aidin aims to make his community an equally just place where people can express themselves freely.
